9/5/11: New Appointment for ACT/NSW

D A Christie Pty. Ltd. is pleased to welcome Mr Troy Mackay who today joined the All Park Products division as Technical Sales Manager.

Troy's appointment to the newly created sales territory of ACT & Southern NSW allows us to better service the growing number of customers in this important region and allow our current NSW representative, Mr Warren Smith, to concentrate his activities in Sydney and Central NSW thus providing a higher level of service to these customers also.

Troy brings a wealth of experience in providing a high level of service and support to his clients in a wide range of industries. His addition to our team further enhances our ability to provide personal advice and support on a National basis.

The management of D A Christie Pty Ltd is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Brendan Eddy to the position of General Manager.

Brendan joins our management team to take charge of the development and operation of the financial and administrative functions of our organisation.

He brings with him a wealth of experience through managing both large and small businesses and will become an integral part of the ongoing development of our company into the future.

1/12/10: R & D Facility Opens

The management of D A Christie Pty Ltd is very pleased to announce the opening of a dedicated Research & Development facility to expand and improve our ongoing committment to continuous improvement of our products and services.

Headed by our Product Development Manager, Mr Paul Nelson, this new facility utilises state of the art 3D CAD modelling software to design and develop new products. Once modelled, the software quickly and easily downloads the information required to the apropriate fabrication processing machinery with a minimum of additional input, dramatically reducing the time from design to to manufacture.

Our new facility also incorporates the latest in test and measurement equipment to ensure our products remain the safest and best performing products of their type in theworld today and intot he future.

9/8/10: All Park Products Expands to South Australia

The directors of D A Christie Pty Ltd are pleased to announce that the full range of products distributed through our sales & marketing division, All Park Products, are now available in South Australia.

Previously, only Christie Parksafe products were able to be actively promoted in this region. This change will allow us to supply the full range of Cox Urban Furniture and Alumistyle Shelters, alongside the Christie Parksafe BBQ range, into this important market.

11/3/10: Christie Parksafe appointed Preferred Supplier of BBQ's for Brisbane City Coucil

Following a stringent 8 month RFP process D A Christie Pty Ltd are pleased to announce their appointment as preferred supplier of barbecues for parks within the City of Brisbane.

Managing Director, Mr David Christie, reported the process had required a significant effort from all members of the development team, especially from our Engineer, Mr Paul Nelson.

Mr Christie thanked his team for the work put in which not only won us the tender but also moved us to a new level of ability with regards product design and support.

15/2/10: New Member Joins Team

The management of D A Christie Pty Ltd is very pleased to announce the appointment of Melinda Hall to the position of Trainee Office Assistant.

Melinda joins our sales & administration team to increase our ability to provide service and support to our customers and Technical Sales Representitives.

As part of our company's ongoing development program, Melinda will join fellow team member, Alex Christie, in undertaking a Certificate IV in Business Administration course on their journey to becoming key members of our organisational team.

1/7/09: New Appointment to Board of Directors

27/5/09: New Member Joins Team

The management of D A Christie Pty Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Paul Nelson to the position of Technical Product Manager.

Taking charge of our product development and quality control of our manufacturing division, Paul brings a wealth of experience and engineering skills to our team as well as fresh ideas and perspectives to help ensure our products remain at the forefront of public barbecue development worldwide.

1/4/09: New All Stainless SSBT Launched

The last product group in the Christie range, our SSBT benches, are now completely manufactured using non-ferrous materials. From today all versions of the SSBT will have a stainless steel frame instead of galvanised mild steel tube as was used previously.

This move further cements our commitment to provide high quality products that will last at least 10 years in all environments.

1/11/08: New Product Technical Data Sheets Available

The new Technical Data Sheets are now available for download from the Resources Section. These sheets give complete and concise details on the models available, their options and all the specifications.

20/10/08: New Appointment for NSW

D A Christie Pty. Ltd. is pleased to welcome Mr Warren Smith who today joined the All Park Products division as Technical Sales Manager for NSW.

Warren brings with him a terrific track record in the field of street and park furniture having worked in the industry for many years. Warren's wealth of experience will be of great value to our clients in NSW and will add an extra dimension to the already talented Allpark team.

25/8/08: Third Generation Joins Team

The management of D A Christie Pty. Ltd. is very pleased to announce the extension of family involvement into the third generation with the appointment of Mr D A (Alex) Christie to the position of Customer Relations Coordinator for the All Park Products division.

Alex brings with him several years experience working with Local Government both internally and through an external corporate contractor. Initially he will be responsible for implementing our marketing and promotional efforts and will assist our Development Team in all areas of company and product development.

His father David Christie, Managing Director, said he was very pleased to have his son join the team and hoped his flair and enthusiasm would help the company meet the challenges of the new century. He added that his father, Sandy, was aware of the plans for his grandson to join the business before his death and was pleased and comforted that the business he began in 1965 would continue into a third generation.

9/7/08: End of an Era

Following a long battle with a rare bone marrow disorder, the founder of D A Christie Pty. Ltd., Mr D A (Sandy) Christie OAM, passed away peacefully on 30th June 2008 at Beleura Hospital, Mornington, aged 83.

Sandy is survived by his wife, Merle, his children Janet and David, daughter in law Adele, grandchildren Kylie, Kirsty, Jamie, Alex and Bradley, and great grand children Riley and Georgia.

Sandy was farewelled at a moving service held at the Old Shire Offices/Dromana Community Hall, the site of some of his main endeavours for the community. The service was attended by his family, the staff of D A Christie Pty. Ltd. and over 300 close friends and associates.

In place of flowers, the family asked all mourners to make a contribution to the Cabrini Hospital Foundation – Medical Oncology Research. They would like to thank everyone for their wonderful response and generosity. Donations can be made directly to the hospital or contact D A Christie Pty. Sandy will be sadly missed by all.
